Early September for another safari. As last time first night in Ole-Sereni Hotel. No Tsavo this time instead we added a stay at the Lake Elementeita Serena camp in the Elementeita Conservancy.
Amboseli National Park
First stop Lake Amboseli, again at the Ole-Sereni Hotel
Following heavy rain the lake rose substantially. Many trees around the shore were drowned. The vast increase in fresh water also made the lake unsuitable for the flamingos but was a big draw for the pelicans.
One of the gates to the park was flooded and was abandoned.
